Exterior Transformation

The facelifted Creta boasts a more robust appearance, marked by significant changes to its front fascia. The rectangular grille, reminiscent of the new Venue, takes center stage, flanked by a full-width LED Daytime Running Light (DRL) with an inverted ‘L’-shaped signature. The redesigned LED headlights now feature a squarish housing, departing from the split layout of the previous model. The lower section of the front end is accentuated by a chunkier bumper housing a striking silver-finished skid plate.

Profile adjustments are subtle, with the spotlight on stylish new alloy wheels. Moving to the rear, the connected LED tail lamps echo the DRL’s signature, accompanied by a substantial skid plate nestled in the tweaked bumper. The overall effect gives the new Creta a more muscular and imposing road presence, promising to turn heads as it navigates the urban landscape.

Interior Elegance

The cabin of the facelifted Hyundai Creta has not been overlooked in the redesign. Offering a dual-tone theme option, the interior exudes sophistication with a comprehensively redesigned dashboard. Dual digital screens, akin to those seen in the Kia Seltos facelift, dominate the front, providing a modern and upscale feel. A piano black panel now graces the upper part of the passenger-side dashboard, housing the side AC vent and offering a new open storage space with ambient lighting.

Additional interior updates include sleek central AC vents and a potentially touch-enabled climate control panel. The lower center console, connected to the climate control panel, has undergone a slight revision in design, featuring a wireless phone charging dock, ambient lighting, and housing the gear shifter and front cupholders.

Technological Marvels

The facelifted Creta introduces a host of new features, elevating its technological prowess. A 10.25-inch digital driver’s display takes center stage, accompanied by dual-zone climate control, a 360-degree camera, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). These additions complement existing comfort, convenience, and safety features such as the panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, six airbags, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

Powerful Performance Options

Under the hood, the new Hyundai Creta will offer three engine options, including the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (N.A.) petrol and diesel engines from the outgoing model. Additionally, the Verna’s 1.5-litre turbo unit will be introduced. The power and torque specifications are as follows:

  • 1.5-litre N.A. Petrol: 115 PS power, 144 Nm torque
  • 1.5-litre Turbo-petrol: 160 PS power, 253 Nm torque
  • 1.5-litre Diesel: 116 PS power, 250 Nm torque

Transmission options vary, including 6-speed MT, CVT, 7-speed DCT, and 6-speed AT. Notably, the Creta will exclusively offer the 7-speed automatic with the turbo powertrain.

Anticipated Pricing and Fierce Competition

Enthusiasts and prospective buyers can expect the facelifted Hyundai Creta to hit the market with a starting price of approximately Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned to compete with rivals such as the Maruti Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, and Citroen C3 Aircross, the new Creta is poised to redefine the SUV landscape.

As anticipation builds for the official launch on January 16, the leaked images only heighten the excitement surrounding the revamped Hyundai Creta, promising an unparalleled blend of style, technology, and performance in the highly competitive SUV segment.
